Introduction

Does WritePass.com know how to deliver high quality writing? These days a lot of students are interested in getting as much information as they can about all of the major custom writing companies. It makes perfect sense. After all, they want to know that when they choose a service, they will receive an essay or PowerPoint presentation that gets them a good grade. Our job is to evaluate websites like WritePass.com so that you can make the best possible decision. Here is what we found out about them.

Services

WritePass.com makes it easy to find out what services they provide by devoting a page to it. They can handle a wide variety of writing assignments including essays, research papers, dissertations, and book reports. In addition, they can also put together PowerPoint presentations, do statistical analysis, and take online-based exams. For students who have already written a paper, they offer proofreading services. They also give customers a chance to ask questions and see advice for free. This is a unique feature that we have not come across when reviewing other writing companies.

WritePass.com Services

Formats + Spacing & Number of Words per Page

WritePass.com is able to complete a paper regardless of the formatting style, with the most common being MLA, APA, Harvard and Chicago/Turabian. They consider 250 words to be a page. This is something of a concern considering that most other services count 275 or even 300 words per page.

Price Policy

WritePass.com does not have a set price policy. They do not operate on bids either. Instead, prospective customers are asked to place an order and wait for a price quote. We can see the pros and cons of this system, but the fact that a student has to fill out an order form and wait for a response is not particularly convenient when almost all other companies provide an instant quote. In any event, we filled out the information and found that undergraduate-level paper with a 15-day deadline will cost £27.25 per page. That is extremely steep given that most students are on a tight budget.

Free Features

The WritePass.com website is easy to navigate and contains lots of useful features such as writing guides and suggestions for topics. However, the sections contain too much information that few people will bother reading anyway.

Discounts

WritePass.com does not offer promotional first-time discounts to new customers, which will disappoint students who were expecting one. However, they do have lifetime discounts for return customers along with a referral program that gives them a chance to receive bonuses everything they successfully convince a friend to purchase services.

Ordering Process

The process of ordering services from WritePass.com is quick and convenient. Just fill out the order form with all of the details about your order and make a payment. We found that all of this took less than 5 minutes. As noted, the downside is that you will not know how much you will pay until they get back to you with a price.

Our Experience with the Site

According to the website, WritePass.com only hires US and UK-based with a minimum Bachelor’s degree. It states that the US writers are all either native English speakers or fluent. However, does not make any mention about the composition of its UK writers.

After the customer orders their paper, WritePass.com assigns it to the most qualified writer based on the subject area. They supposedly have proper writing analytical and research skills. If these claims are actually true, they certainly were not in our case. We ordered a 4 page undergraduate essay with a 15 day deadline. The topic was American cinema. While we got our paper by the deadline and it was free of plagiarism, everything else about their writing services was a disaster. The paper was not structured properly and the writer only had a vague idea about the topic. Given that they claim their writers are all experts, there was no excuse for this.

Qualification of the Writer

According to the website, they guarantee high quality writing. In order to achieve this, they claim the writer must demonstrate knowledge about a specific subject area, have good communication skills, a Bachelor’s degree or higher, and sample assignments:

While our writer certain had some major flaws, we believe the paper could have been saved if the writer had simply taken the time to contact us and clarify matters as it related to our paper. The fact that he/she did not do this seems to indicate that the writers might not always have the best professional skills.

Site Usability and Design + Grammar

We found the website to be user-friendly. The design is relatively simple, but we consider that a plus. We also like the fact that they do not have pop-up windows or banners all over the place. However, the fact that they do not have a pricing page is a huge minus.

We read content on the website and did not find any grammar mistakes or odd word usage. We can also report that although we were not impressed with our paper, it did appear to be written by a native English speaker.

Support Team/Live Chat/Contacts

Getting in touch with the customer support team is somewhat inconvenient. First of all, they do not even have a live chat option, and that fact is absolutely baffling. They can only be reached by phone or email. But in an urgent situation, who wants to call them, for instance, while riding a bus when sending discrete live chat messages would make so much more sense? We sent them an email but did not get a response until the following day. We also called them, and fortunately, they do pick up the phones quickly. However, when we complained about our paper they did not seem particularly sympathetic. The woman we talked to said we should have done a better job of communicating with our writer when, in fact, the writer should have taken more initiative.

WritePass.com Support

Reliability

If you choose to order from WritePass.com, we would strongly encourage you to read the company’s terms and conditions page as well as their refund policy. This will prevent you from having to deal with the issues that we faced with our paper.

Revision Policy/Availability of Free Revisions

Customers have a window of 7 days following the delivery of their order to request revisions. This seems like a pretty reasonable amount of time. According to the website, the customer may request unlimited revisions until they are satisfied. However, if you read the fine print this is far more complicated than it seems. Even if the paper could have objectively been better written, this in itself is not enough to merit revisions. Instead, you have to explicitly prove that the writer committed some kind of infraction such as plagiarizing the text or not following the directions. While we appreciate that the company is loyal to its writers, we would hope that it does not come at the expensive of its customers.

Availability of a Plagiarism Report (for Each Paper)

We were not able to find any information about whether WritePass.com provides plagiarism reports. However, it is probably safe to say that if we really wanted one, they would probably send it to us, although we are not sure if they charge for them.

Guarantees

WritePass.com promises to provide the following guarantees:

  • Free revisions
  • Refunds
  • 100% Originality
  • Great quality of writing
  • Expert writers
  • Customer’s confidentiality
  • Communication with the assigned writer
  • Opportunity to pay in installments

However, we did not get those promised guarantees.

Amount of Time in the Industry

WritePass.com claims that they started in 2008, but this is a slight exaggeration. Whois.net and the Wayback Machine both indicate that the company actually launched in 2010. The company did not put a whole lot of thought into their “Our Story” though. It is some nonsense about helping a lady who was such an incompetent student that after 3 years she still had not completed her 1-year diploma program.

Customer Feedback + Online Reputation

When we looked at feedback and reviews from third party websites, we found that while they did receive some positive comments from their customers, there were a few complaints about how the quality of the paper was lacking.

Pros and Cons

Based on our experiences with WritePass.com, we would not recommend their services. It is not that they are out to scam customers. But nonetheless, they are not particularly trustworthy nor are their papers as good as they claim.

Pros

  • Free advice feature
  • Plagiarism-free work
  • On-time delivery

Cons

  • No live chat option
  • Mediocre papers
  • They only accept British Pounds

We have had our say, but it is ultimately up to you to decide whether you want to take a chance with WritePass.com.
